Be ready with some small talk - about the office paintings, something of interest in the interviewer's office, the traffic, etc.
Show a sense of humour as long as it comes naturally.
Let the interviewer know that you have done your homework on the company.
Act as an intelligent equal and confidently discuss the job.
Keep your eye contact, looking away briefly now and then as you ponder a question.
Smile when appropriate.
Be positive about yourself, your strengths, you skills, your job experience.
Never be overly critical about your past employer and fellow workers.
Try to side step the question of money, benefits, holidays, etc, until after a job offer has been made.
Under normal circumstances never accept a job offer during the interview, even if it seems to be the "perfect" job. Ask for some time to think it over.
Call your references and let them know they may be contacted.
After the interview write a thank you letter. Emphasize your interest in the job and thank the interviewer for his consideration
