Maintenance Administrator/Buyer
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of MRO buying experience in the automotive parts industry. Our client, a successful international company, is looking for a candidate who is self-motivated and disciplined to organize and control its maintenance parts inventory.
The Position
Reporting to the Maintenance/ Continuous Improvement Manager, the Maintenance Administrator is responsible for:
- Providing PPE products, welding tips, grinding burrs and other production tools for production associates.
- Also maintaining first aid supplies per REG 1101 of the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
- Writing orders for technical team, and process through MRO purchasing process.
- Receiving MRO related purchases in SAP. Monitoring, maintaining and administering the inventory, tool m anagement and control systems in use, including analysis of inventory usage, etc.
- Organization of the tool crib.
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the crib area.
- Ensuring proper procedures are followed when items are brought to or taken out of the crib area.
Qualifications
- Good organizational skills, resourceful. Problem solving skills.
- MRO buying experience required 1 - 2 years (including research
- on new products)
- Working knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- EPAC knowledge / experience preferred.
- Strong skill set to work with computers and software (Microsoft Office).
- Minimum Shears experience in the manufacturing environment.
- Able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Experience using manual material handling equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Salary: $30,000- $35,000. This is a salaried position coupled with an excellent benefit package.
